Mission

help us make a difference

Morton Grove Community Church places high importance on its outreach, mission, and ministry through our volunteer work, our charitable partnerships and contributions, and our work in the community at large. Join us in our mission to make our community - Morton Grove, greater Chicago, and beyond - a better, a more loving, and a more welcoming place for all of us.

Niles Township Food Pantry has been selected as MGCC's Non-Profit Partner of 2026!

Because we are a small church, and we cannot solve all of the world's problems on our own, each year we will choose a non-profit organization with which to partner. We will focus on one specific issue each year so that we can learn, work, and grow together as a congregation. We want to serve deeply, with intention, and with collaboration.

This year, we will learn all about the community support provided by the Niles Township Food Pantry and the Niles Township Respite Center. We will assist with both monetary and physical donations and will volunteer our time with one or more of their programs throughout the year. We will host educational events. If you'd like to collaborate with us, click on the link below! (You do not need to be a member to volunteer.)

Helping the community of Morton Grove - and beyond - is paramount for us. Our other mission partners are below as well. For the latest, check Facebook or Instagram or click the logos to go directly to that organization..

The Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation, located in Skokie, IL, serves as a vital resource for residents in need, providing food assistance and seasonal support such as school supplies and holiday gifts. It is their goal that no person goes hungry.

Currently, the Food Pantry provides food at no cost to about 6,000 low-income individuals per month who reside in the communities of Niles Township. All monetary donations are allocated to purchasing food to replenish the pantry shelves, and for every dollar donated four (4) meals will be purchased.

They are able support their mission of alleviating hunger in the local area through partnerships with the Greater Chicago Food Depository and contributions from area businesses, civic groups, and individuals, and organizations like ours.
