Job Description
INTRODUCTION:
The Internet and Social Media Specialist should be experienced in website management, photography, videography, ad design, social media content creation, and the use of social media analytics.
The Specialist should be self-directed, proactive, able to complete tasks on time, motivated, a concise writer, and able to use social media metrics to analyze impact.
This is a part-time position with a small, LGBTQ+ affirming Reformed Christian church out of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We worship in a non-traditional space, a Log Cabin, in Skokie, IL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Specialist will keep the MGCC website and various social media platform sites current. They will act as a liaison to MGCC staff who will assist with the website.
The Specialist will design promotional flyers upon request for special events at MGCC.
The Specialist will create, post and monitor social media items, both static and as reels, on a regular basis to help publicize the events at MGCC.
The Specialist will attend church events at least once per month to communicate with members, as well as to gather content to post online to the website and social accounts.
The Specialist will use Social Media metrics to analyze the impact of MGCC’s online presence.
HOURS:
5-10 hours per week
COMPENSATION:
Hourly wage starting at $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
