Job Description

Employer: Morton Grove Community Church

Title: Church Pianist

Date(s): January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026, renewed annually

Compensation: $150-250 per service, double compensation on Christmas Eve and Easter

Weekly Duties:

Rehearse before the service with the cantor.
Rehearsals shall be done by 9:45am, the prelude will begin at 9:50am.
Lead music throughout the service.

Possible Additional Duties:

Select hymns weekly in coordination with the Pastor.
Set up and take down the audio system.
Assist in planning a concert, or special guest musicians, for additional compensation.

Holiday Duties:

Special holidays include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas Eve.
